The film uses understandable illustrations and is particularly intended for immigrants with a short period of residence in Norway, and people who have limited reading skills.

In the interview film, three former tuberculosis patients tell their stories: about getting sick and about the distress they felt in this situation, the meeting with the healthcare system and the long treatment time, and about getting well. We also get to hear how they use their experiences of illness in a positive way in their lives after they have recovered.
